National Community Service
Tijeras National Community Service Program addresses the Latino communities educational needs by focusing in the areas of Latino leadership and Latino literacy. The national community service program has two components, academic excellence and community service represented by Latina Youth Conference and Latino Literacy Fund.

LYLC
The purpose of our LYLC is to open Cal’s doors to Latinas ages 11-14 from the greater Bay Area focusing on Hayward, Oakland, Richmond and Berkeley. 100 Junior High school Latinas are brought to an all day conference at the University of California, Berkeley campus. Motivational speakers, college panels, and workshops are provided. Workshops include: high school A-G requirements, college life, campus tours, self-esteem, and financial aid. Breakfast, lunch, goodie bags, t-shirts, and registration for the event is free.

Latino Literacy
Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Inc. undergraduate sisters raise funds to award to nonprofit organizations that concentrate in the area of Latino literacy. Each chapter hosts an annual Latino Literacy Awareness Week which consist of book drives, Latino literacy panels, and promoting literacy and education to children.

Lambda Scholarship
The Lambda National Scholarship Program was developed to ensure and support the development of the next generation of Latino community leaders, educators, and professionals. Each one of our chapters awards a scholarship to applicants in their respective community. The scholarship is offered to a graduating high school senior who exemplifies the ideals of the sorority and is continuing to a four-year institution of higher education.
